Jewelry Store Design

A jewelry store design project delivered in Indonesia in 2023, for a fine-jewelry retailer opening a flagship boutique. The commission ran as a whole-store design-to-install programme: every fixed element on the floor — counters, wall vitrines, the feature column, the tall display cabinets and the consultation seating — was designed, factory-built and shipped install-ready to one specification. The floor plate runs roughly 200 to 260 square metres on a single trading level.

The plan opens on a black marble feature column carrying an oval gold-framed mirror at eye level, set against a run of champagne-gold slat screens. From there the floor steps to a round island display counter — a white marble deck on a brass frame over a black marble base — with glass vitrines for close inspection. Wall-mounted gold-framed vitrines with black interiors are set into cream lacquer panelling along both side walls, a mirrored niche with a suspended ring chandelier pulls the eye to the rear, and a low glass display counter sits at the threshold. A rear run of tall dark-wood display cabinets with brass hardware closes the back of the floor.

Materials follow a narrow, high-contrast palette: black marble on the feature column, counter bases and floor inlays; white marble underfoot and on the island deck; champagne-gold finished metal on vitrine frames, island trim and slat screens; cream lacquer wall panelling with gold inlay lines; dark ebony wood with brass hardware on the tall cabinets; low-iron tempered glass throughout; and mirrored panels placed to double the vitrine reflections and open up the floor plate. Every cabinet face is set to the entrance sightline so the shop reads in one pass.

Merchandising runs on three levels — brand storytelling on the black marble feature wall, eye-level viewing inside the wall vitrines, and close inspection across the island counter and the low glass counter on velvet-lined trays. Lighting is layered museum-style: warm ambient downlights on a tight grid, dedicated CRI 90+ LED strips inside every display case, concealed cove lighting behind the wall recesses and a curved LED ceiling ring, so gemstone colour reads true under glass without glare on the counter tops. High-value pieces sit in lockable trays, opened by staff on request.

Les pièces de rechange, les conseils de réparation et le support de réapprovisionnement se poursuivent après la livraison, afin que toute phase ultérieure puisse être assortie au même cahier des charges.
