Cell Phone Accessory Display

This cell phone accessory display project was produced for a phone accessories retailer in Saudi Arabia in 2017. The shop sells cases, cables, power banks and screen protectors from a compact mall unit, and the owner wanted the stock to look organised rather than piled: glass between customer and product, a lit brand column that could be seen down the corridor, and enough closed storage to keep backstock out of sight.

The unit was built around two 1.8 m glass display counters with three 8 mm glass shelves each, one 0.6 m × 2.2 m lightbox pylon with two internal glass shelves, one 1.2 m timber-clad storage cabinet with adjustable shelves, and stone-grey plinths under every counter. The counters are framed in navy blue powder-coated steel and lit by a continuous cool-white LED line inside each case.

The design keeps the footprint tight: the two counters form an L around the service point, the pylon stands at the corner to act as a landmark, and the timber cabinet closes the back so staff can reach stock without walking around the display. Glass shelves are set at 300 mm pitch, which suits boxed accessories, and the lower shelf is held at 700 mm so it stays visible from a standing position. The navy frames and grey plinths give the brand a neutral base that does not fight the packaging colours.

Frames ship welded and powder-coated, with the glass packed separately in ply crates. On site the crew levels the plinths, sets the two counters into the L, fits the glass shelves and locks the cabinet doors, then connects the pylon and case lighting to separate switches. The pylon is anchored to the floor rather than the mall ceiling, so the unit can be relocated within the lease without touching the landlord’s structure.

Customization includes counter length and depth, shelf pitch, frame colour, glass thickness, pylon graphic, cabinet shelving and the option of a lockable till drawer.
