Makeup Kiosk

A makeup kiosk program delivered in Malaysia in 2025, for a beauty brand taking a cosmetics island on a mall floor. The brief called for a black-and-white makeup kiosk scheme — framed white panels, backlit display niches and tiered glass counters — all built as one system in our Guangzhou workshop. Roughly twenty-five to forty square metres.

The plan frames the island in black steel and fills it with white panels, so the kiosk reads as a crisp graphic block from across the concourse. One face carries a tall backlit poster panel; the others are fitted with backlit niches and lit shelves for retail stock. Two tiered counter runs step down to the aisle, their tops set with glass display cases, and a slim lightbox fascia rings the top edge to throw light down onto the counters.

Merchandising splits by line and price point. Hero launches and gift sets sit in the backlit niches; everyday ranges face out on the lit shelves; high-value and boxed pieces lock inside the glass counter cases. Because the island is open on all sides, staff can serve from any approach and restock from the centre.

Materials hold the black-white scheme: black powder-coated steel framing, gloss-white lacquer panels, tempered glass counter cases, backlit acrylic poster and niche panels and a slim LED lightbox fascia. Lighting is layered — backlights behind every niche, LED strips under the shelves and spots over the counters — so the white panels glow and the black frame stays sharp.

Delivery followed the factory route in 2025: frames welded and coated, panels sprayed, and glass cases assembled and wired before packing. The kiosk was craned into place and commissioned in a single night shift. Sample in seven to ten days, production in thirty to forty-five, shipped from Guangzhou.
