Project Overview

A sunglasses display cabinet program delivered for an optical retail store in Asia, across an estimated 80 to 150 square metres combining open-browse frame walls, a dedicated sunwear zone and an in-store optometry service. The commission ran as a full-package eyewear store program: island counters, backlit brand panels, wall systems and service furniture were all designed, factory-built and shipped to one specification.

The floor plan separates browsing from service. A sunglasses island counter in white lacquer with a champagne-gold trim band carries tiered try-on trays in a grid layout — forty or more pairs per run — with a rotating sunglass display stand at its end for featured styles. Along the perimeter, backlit display walls carry eyeglass frames in illuminated rows from waist height upward, while an angled corner counter with stepped risers stages seasonal collections. At the rear, a circular backlit logo wall anchors the brand moment, and a dedicated optometry area with its own service counter handles eye exams.

Materials stay clinical-warm: white MDF cabinetry, tempered glass tops, anodized champagne-gold metal framing, and grey polished tile with soft veining. The signature element is a custom turquoise brand colour — factory-matched and applied across backlit acrylic panels, cabinet fronts and the logo halo, so every unit in the store repeats one brand voice.

Lighting is layered for merchandising: neutral ambient downlights for navigation, warm gold-toned cove accents, and dedicated LED strips inside every display cabinet at CRI 90+ so frame colours read true. Presentation logic shifts by zone — dense grid trays in the sunwear area for self-service try-on, sparser illuminated shelves for premium frames, and seated consultation for prescription service.

Production followed standard factory discipline: drawings approved before cutting, a pre-production sample in seven to ten days, custom casework in thirty to forty-five days, and KD or fully assembled shipping from Guangzhou, with spare parts and reorder support after handover.
