Smoke Shop Display

A smoke shop display package completed for a retail store in the United States in 2021, covering the full back wall and the counter line in one factory-built specification. The store wanted the shelving and the sales counter to match, which is usually where bought-in fixtures fail — one is warm, the other is cold, and the elevation breaks in the middle.

The back wall runs a two-tone system. A black carcass carries pale shelf decks with stepped end panels, and each bay is topped by a lit sign box set into the frame rather than screwed on afterwards. The boxes give the wall a horizontal band of light at eye level, which is the part of a smoke shop that customers actually scan.

Below, the counter is a low glass case with a black plinth and a pale deck, lit from the toe-kick with a colour-tuned LED strip that reads as a glow rather than a line. Glass shelves inside the case step back in three tiers, so boxed product at the rear is still visible from the doorway.

The material set is short: black melamine carcass, matte white shelf decks, clear tempered glass, black powder-coated edge banding and the LED strip. Repeat that across nineteen bays and the store looks designed rather than assembled.

Production followed the usual discipline — approved drawings, a sample in seven to ten days, custom casework in thirty to forty-five days, and flat-packed shipping from Guangzhou with a numbered assembly plan. Reorder support and spare shelf decks were included at handover.
