Bakery Display Cases

A bakery display cases program delivered in China in 2019, for a snack and pastry brand opening a green-themed counter store. The brief called for a dome-canopy green program — curved glass domes over timber shelving, an arched lightbox gantry over the snack wall, and green-lacquered service counters — all fitted whole-store from our Guangzhou workshop. Roughly sixty to ninety square metres.

The plan sets the dome canopies as centrepiece islands: two curved pastry units in graded timber tiers, champagne-gold frames and glowing plinths, readable from every aisle. Behind them the snack wall runs a double-sided shelving unit under the arched lightbox header; a service counter with its own lit gantry closes the far end, with stainless prep cabinets flanking the back-of-house line.

Merchandising splits by product. The domes carry pastries and boxed sweets in divided timber bays — one dessert display case per canopy, so staff restock without walking the floor. The wall unit works as the main food display case: bags and gift tins face the aisle on the outer shelves while the inner side holds back stock within reach of the counter.

Materials hold the green-and-timber scheme throughout: baked-enamel panels in the brand green, light-oak shelving, brushed gold trims at the dome edges. Lighting runs in three layers — warm spots inside the domes, cool strip beneath every plinth, and the backlit gantry over the counter — so the pastry islands read brightest in the room.

Delivery followed the factory route in 2019: domes bent and tempered, gantries welded and wired, panels sprayed in the brand colour before packing. The store fitted out in a single visit. Sample in seven to ten days, production in thirty to forty-five, shipped assembled from Guangzhou.
