Arched Display Case
Project Overview
An arched display case program delivered for a classical European-style jewelry salon in Asia, across an estimated 150 to 250 square metres. The commission ran as a design-to-install salon program: arched niche walls, curved glass counters, pedestal cases and consultation seating were all designed, factory-built and shipped to one specification.
The salon reads as a sequence of rooms. A walnut arch frames the reception lounge, where a curved cream sectional and round ottomans set a residential tone. Behind it, the main wall carries three symmetrical arches, each recessed as an individually lit display niche — a museum-grade presentation logic where every recessed display case holds a single statement piece. On the floor, an oval gondola counter with slender tapered legs and a round drum-base pedestal anchor the central sales zone.
Materials follow a warm classical language: walnut veneer panelling, cream lacquer, brushed champagne-gold frames and low-iron tempered glass, over bookmatched marble flooring with dark inlay borders. A gold curio cabinet language runs through the taller units — glass shelving, arched silhouettes, warm interior linings — while a botanical relief ceiling medallion and a crystal chandelier complete the salon character overhead.
Lighting is layered museum-style: warm 3000K ambient downlights, a sculptural chandelier for atmosphere, and dedicated CRI 90+ strips inside every case, so gemstone colour reads true under glass. Presentation density stays deliberately sparse — one hero piece per niche — with sales conducted seated, advisory rather than transactional.
Production followed standard factory discipline: drawings approved before cutting, a pre-production sample in seven to ten days, custom casework in thirty to forty-five days, and KD or fully assembled shipping from Guangzhou, with spare parts and reorder support after handover.
