Jewelry Shop Interior Design

A jewelry shop interior design project delivered in Italy in 2021, for a fine-jewelry retailer opening a flagship boutique. The commission ran as a whole-store design-to-install programme: every fixed element on the floor — counters, wall cabinets, the feature column, display pedestals and the consultation lounge — was designed, factory-built and shipped install-ready to one specification. The floor plate runs roughly 180 to 250 square metres on a single trading level.

The plan opens on a consultation bay framed by a champagne-gold arch, where an oval white marble table on a fluted gold base seats two clients against mirrored panels. From there the floor steps through a run of glass-top counters, a central island with a black lacquer deck on a fluted gold drum, and a full-height gold column that carries a circular glass-dome display at eye level. Wall recesses behind the counters are lined with individually backlit niches, each sized for a single statement piece. A blue velvet lounge with a navy-and-gold wave feature wall closes the rear, holding the appointment area clear of the shopfront sightline.

Materials follow a narrow, high-contrast palette: champagne-gold finished metal on frames, arch reveals and the feature column; fluted lacquer panelling in white and black; white marble and dark stone counter decks; low-iron tempered glass throughout; and deep blue velvet in the lounge. Mirrored panels are placed to double the dome reflections and to open up the floor plate, and every cabinet face is set to the corridor sightlines so the shop reads from the entrance in one pass.

Merchandising runs on three levels — brand storytelling on the mirrored feature wall, eye-level viewing in the backlit niches, and close inspection across the counter decks on velvet-lined trays. Lighting is layered museum-style: warm ambient downlights on a tight grid, dedicated CRI 90+ LED strips inside every display case, and concealed cove lighting behind the wall recesses, so gemstone colour reads true under glass without glare on the counter tops. Value pieces sit under the glass domes, opened by staff on request.

Production followed standard factory discipline: drawings approved before cutting, a pre-production sample in seven to ten days, custom casework in thirty to forty-five days, and delivery flat-packed or fully assembled from our Guangzhou factory. Spare parts, repair guidance and reorder support continue after handover, so any later phase can be matched to the same specification.
